CASUAL POSITION FOR BARISTA ALL-ROUNDER (20+ hours a week)

We're a service focused Cannoleria & Italian Bakery who promises to provide an unforgettable experience for our customers. We're opening in Kogarah soon and looking for happy, energetic Barista All-rounders who are passionate about coffee & Italian dolci and who have exceptional customer service skills to join our friendly team.

About The Role

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

taking and serving orders while providing exceptional customer service
making and serving hot & cold drinks and some food items to a high standard
serving gelato products, piping cannoli and pastries fresh on the spot
preparing for service prior to opening as well as closing duties
facilitating online orders and operating our Square POS
cleaning and sanitising duties including food safety checks
other duties as required
flexible shifts: no night shifts or split shifts
Tuesday-Saturday 8.00-3.30 (38 hours) or mid shift 10am-2pm (20 hours)
Sat & Sun total 10 hours (must be available both days) Sat 7.30-12.30 & Sun 8.30-1.30
we're located a short walk from Kogarah station

The ideal candidate will:

be passionate about coffee, Italian dolci and working in the hospitality industry
be comfortable working with meat products when making panini sandwiches
have exceptional customer service skills and time management skills
be personal and approachable - remembering regular customers names and orders!
have a friendly & professional manner, be trustworthy, punctual and loyal
be able to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment
ability to work efficiently with a small busy team and willingness to learn
preferably have some experience making coffee on a commercial coffee machine
preferably have some customer service experience
be fully COVID vaccinated
be an Australian or New Zealand citizen with Australian work rights
